I have to admit that this time, choosing the picture was highly influenced by Greta’s latest post about Omiš, a little town where the river Cetina (is that correct? the language and letters are still a puzzle to me…) hits the Adriatic. Actually, I have completely forgotten this one and I took it on the way from…ah, I don’t remember…to…Čisla to have a wonderful BBQ dalmatian style (lots of food…lots of great food and some – hopefully not too bad – cultural misunderstandings…still sorry guys!).
The river (lower left corner) is the river Cetina, whereas the island in the background is…Brač, one of the three bigger islands easily accessible from Split. Remember what I told you here about a crazy road trip through Bosnia-Hercegovina? Well, driving here is simply beautiful. From here you can go south all the way to Dubrovnik by car driving one of the most beautiful roads I have ever been…yes, I did drive on Highway 1 in California or the scenic roads in Ireland or the Loire valley in France…all magnificent, but Magistrala is certainly challenging them all…so go and see yourself…you will not regret it…Tata!
PS: Thanks Greta for the inspiration…Cheers!
