Sitting on Top – Torre des Savinar, Eivissa

Imagine, there would be a place, where nobody could find you and no cell phone will interrupt the calm. Not possible nowadays you think? Look at the picture. Been there, done that. Only 15 minutes of a relatively steep walk uphill from the vista point close to Es Vedra brings you at the edge of a cliff, 150 metres or so above the sea. To get here, you will finally have to walk round the Torre des Savinar (will post soon), which is a bit tricky if you are in sneakers as I was. But so worth the fuss!

If you can, come here alone. Certainly, don’t leave anybody behind in the woods or throw somebody off the cliff. You don’t want to leave this spot – one of the most beautiful and stunning sceneries I have seen so far – because of somebody feeling too hot or “too whatever”. I stayed as long as my quickly drying throat would allow me to stay…with a gazillion of lizards to befriend myself with.

A last hint: Bring some great music, plug your earphones to your i-Thing and enjoy. I personally can’t think of anything more perfect than this, this and this (thanks to Oliver for pointing me to Ben Howard!).
