This picture was shot on February 23rd in 2013 on the beautiful island of Fuerteventura (Parque natural de Jandía), Canary Islands, Spain. We drove something that can hardly be called a road and made various shots there too (still to come). Finally, we ended up in front of this door in the middle of nowhere. In our back the desert and in front of us the Atlantic Ocean. Separated only by this door.
The most stunning feature of Jandía is the absolute degree of calmness and peacefulness of the environment, despite its proximity to touristy resorts. It is a great spot to get inspired for taking pictures, play with composition and colors. It is an even greater spot to sit down, rest your head in your hand, and enjoy the beauty of nature – and one small man-made item.
For all aficionados of technical details around: The picture was shot with a Nikon D3200, f4,5, 1/1250 and ISO 100 using the standard kit-lense (18-55mm).
